Since it is October – the Month traditionally dedicated to the Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary. We begin our evening with saying of our Rosary as we asked Our Lady to draw us closer to Him who is our Light.
In the scripture reading – Acts 5: 29-32 asked to obey our Lord Jesus Christ and to go into all the world to share the gospel. And to show us how, the “Dialogue” from the Reflection papers demonstrated by Jim who doing it just by living the gospel!
As Catholics, we serve a God without borders. We have been commanded Him, our Lord of all the earth, to go into all the world to share the gospel. Sometimes this means working around our government’s opinions on where we ought to go and live the gospel. Sometimes it means bringing money into an economic system we don’t believe in. Sometimes it means letting us be insulted, right in front of others!
Be not afraid. As Catholics, there are countless ways to live out our faith that aren’t offensive to theirs, and actually make us feel better and respected! In fact, our neighbourhood provides us with one of the best opportunities in our daily lives to grow in holiness. All we need is the right perspective — and a willingness to let Him lead.
Collectively, we agree to reach out to our very own BEC members who are homebound and neglected. A plan is now underway to make this happen!
